A MAYOR WHO SETS THE GOLD STANDARD FOR CONSTITUENT SERVICES

• Open Office Hours & mobile office hours – scheduling opportunities to meet with me in an accessible space in Village Hall as well as spaces outside of Village Hall, above and beyond “regular” working hours, in collaboration with downtown local businesses (grab a coffee with the mayor, play a board game with the mayor, etc)
• Host more educational and “know your rights” workshops.
• Host listening sessions, and create more ways than ever before to demonstrate active listening and to foster dialogue.
• Curate the “information & resources hub” in the Village Hall meeting room with pamphlets and fliers from community organizations, local and state agencies, that address everyday needs of our neighbors.
• Build the list of New Paltz businesses that participate in the Ulster County FAVOR card program — and to get more veterans signed up to get these local discounts!

PUBLIC WORKS FOR THE PEOPLE

• Work with the County and other entities to bring the New Paltz Loop bus back into full service; extend the hours of that service in order to better accommodate artists, service workers, and revelers who participate in our vibrant night life. 
• Continue to partner with the Dr. Margaret Wade-Lewis Center for Black History and Culture, ensuring this dream blossoms into a reality and a resource.
• Develop the RFP and work to break ground on the New Paltz Skate Garden, which is sited for Hasbrouck Park.
• Bring back the pocket gardens throughout downtown, adding edible natives. 
• Work with the Community Improvement Team and the Department of Public Works to curate more public art and more community-wide celebrations as demonstrated through banners, flags, lights, and more. 
• Continued support for the Free Food Fridge at Village Hall, as well as the free Tuesday community meals,  working with volunteers and various community resources to implement a sustainable model to ensure everybody eats, always. 
• Adding some benches around our downtown to increase accessibility for seniors, disabled individuals, people with children, and anyone who simply needs or wants a place to sit for a bit.
• Make further improvements to Hasbrouck Park – replace the gazebo with a proper pavilion to better serve our community as they picnic, play music, and otherwise gather in our central downtown park; look into other ways to make Hasbrouck Park more accessible for all to enjoy. 

(CONTINUANCE OF) GOOD GOVERNMENT 

• I’m proud to have gotten the Rental Registry back online for the first time in over a decade, and commit to taking further strides to center public safety in all we do, while increasing building department revenue and limiting the village’s liabilities. 
• Operations overhaul – creating better workflows, systems, and processes so that the positive strides made under my leadership transcend any one person and the village’s services, protections, and community character are “consolidation proof.”
• Working with the Town on sharing services, and building a shared municipal building.
